Christian Munoz Pineda is a board certified Physician Assistant who graduated from Drexel University and joined the team of Colorectal Surgery at NYP-Columbia in 2023. Prior to becoming a Physician Assistant, Christian worked in clinical research, coordinating multiple phase II, III, and IV research protocols at the UNC Center for Inflammatory Bowel Disease in Chapel Hill, NC. Christian works closely with the Colorectal Surgeons and IBD specialist at the Columbia Global Center for Integrated Colorectal Surgery and IBD Interventional Endoscopy. Christian is dedicated to working with the Colorectal Team to provide compassionate, patient-centered inpatient care during the post-operative course. He is also responsible for helping coordinate the care of patients with IBD.
