Columbia’s Division of Abdominal Organ Transplantation is dedicated to leading the field of liver, intestinal, kidney and pancreas transplant surgery through top-quality clinical care, academic excellence, and pioneering research.

Patient Care

Our Division proudly runs some of the largest and most successful transplant programs in the country. Our Center for Liver Disease and Transplantation leads the region in liver transplants for both adult and pediatric patients, and it is an international leader in multi-organ and ex-vivo transplant. Our Kidney and Pancreas Transplant Program features world-renowned experts who have pioneered efforts to reduce waiting times and remove barriers to transplantation. Research

We are constantly looking for new ways to improve transplant care. To that end, we created the Transplant Clinical Research Core (TCRC) as a multidisciplinary intellectual focus for all transplant researchers at Columbia by bringing the Basic Science, Translational Science, Clinical Research and multidisciplinary clinical departments together. The goals of our doctors and specialists are to make transplants safer and more widely available by both improving upon existing treatments and developing new medical breakthroughs.
